Xander Richard is a pencil artist and photographer based in the UK, specialising in pencil and pen studies of people and the natural world, with particular focus on miniature portraiture and small scale landscape observations.
Originally trained in architectural design and technical drawing, Xander combines these skills with his understanding and experience in photography in order to create realistic, hand drawn imagery.
Each Drawing is crafted using a mixture of graphite, carbon and ink to provide a wide tonal value range, from absolute white to deep dark black. The result is detailed, contrast rich drawings, despite their relatively small form factor.
